LET’S Dance!
That’s the message from Rubicon Leisure which has taken Redditch Borough Council by the hand to trip the light fantastic and Get Redditch Dancing.
The project is designed to bring communities together (virtually of course) and have a bit of fun to help both the physical and mental health of Redditch residents during these difficult coronavirus times.
Rubicon staff are looking to Get Redditch Dancing by performing simple dances on social media channels such as Facebook and TikTok and encouraging people to join in.
A spokesperson for Rubicon Leisure said: “We have teamed up with the Borough Council to encourage people to keep active during the current lockdown.
“We will be publishing dancing videos via our social media channels using the hashtag #GetRedditchDancing and encouraging people to give them a try themselves and send us their videos.
“We will then put them into a montage to share and at the same time release a new dance challenge for all to try.
“We hope that as many people as possible get involved regardless of age and look forward to seeing the videos.”
The project is just one of many ways Rubicon Leisure is looking to keep Redditch residents engaged in activity.
There’s also a full timetable of workouts for adults and pre-schoolers and regular challenges and activities posted on social media across all their services.
And there’s more on the Borough Council’s dashboard of activities via the ‘Home’ project on the Council website and on their new YouTube channel.
