A CAR full of suspected burglars was stopped in the early hours in Beoley.

The three occupants of the car – a 22-year-old driver and two passengers aged 19 and 16 – were arrested by police. All three men were from Birmingham with the older being arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and burglary and the two others on burglary.

The incident in Elmdon Lane in Marston Green, Solihull, happened about 2.20am on Tuesday (January 13) when burglars got into the property through the back door by using a cat flap to reach inside and unlock the door.

Once inside, the thieves stole an iPad and the car keys to a black Peugeot which they then escaped in.

The men are currently helping police with enquiries.
