A DISTRACTION burglar who stole two credit cards from an 84-year-old woman effectively escaped empty-handed as they had both expired.
The incident happened about 4pm on Tuesday, September 23, when the bogus caller went to the elderly woman’s house in Green Gables, Alcester Road, Hollywood, claiming to be selling cleaning products.
The man called at the door and pressurised her into buying the items he was selling.
When he had gone, so had the credit cards and the items he had sold her.
He was in his late 20s, had black hair, was 6ft tall and was of large build. He was wearing a blue tracksuit top, white shorts, ankle socks with trainers and was carrying a black holdall.
