MORE than £5,000 has been donated to Macmillan Cancer Support thanks to a Tardebigge-based music festival.
This year’s Biggefest Music Festival at Tardebigge Court raised £5,123 for Macmillan with organisers, Clive and Sandra Fokes of Courtyard Music hosting the celebration, which saw music lovers from all over the county descending to enjoy an afternoon of live music and family entertainment.
Along with 12 bands performing throughout the afternoon, Biggefest also had lots to keep the younger music fans entertained with face painting, raffle prizes and fair ground rides.
Freshman Guitars and Tanglewood Guitars donated two acoustic guitars to the silent auction with, one of the guitars signed by popstar Peter Andre.
Sandra said: “We would like to thank everyone especially all the volunteers, sponsors and the bands for making this year’s festival such a success. We really couldn’t have done it, without them.
“Special thanks must go to K&G Scaffolding who donated the stage, Lee Knight and Josh for managing the sound deck all day and, finally a big thanks to Mark James Events Photography who attended all day, taking over 600 photographs, which were available to purchase in aid of Macmillan.”
Sarah Diston, regional fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, Worcestershire added: “Sandra and Clive along with an army of volunteers worked so hard to make Biggefest 2017 such an amazing success. It was a fantastic afternoon and I’m already looking forward to next year.”
