THERE were moses baskets, baby baths, nappies, car seats, clothes, toys, bottles and more at a baby bank day in Church Hill last Sunday.
Organised by local Labour Party candidate Hannah Cartwright and held at St Andrews Church hall, it attracted people from across the town and beyond.
All the items had been donated by members of the local community and in turn these were handed out for free to new mums and dads struggling to make ends meet.
Hannah, herself a new mum, said: “Everyone donated so much and I have been all around Redditch and surrounding areas collecting items as have my team of helpers.
“My flat, my parents, my friend Kirsty’s garage have all been full of donations which Sunday we got to give to families!
“I just want to say thank you to everyone who donated, everyone who helped on the day, and everyone who came to collect items! I’ve been overwhelmed and I will be looking at doing another one in the summer.
“Like Hannah Cartwright for Church Hill to keep updated.”
