MUSIC was in the air during Astwood Bank Club’s ‘ClubFest’ event, which raised £2,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Midlands Air Ambulance.
Without earning a single penny, generous bands performed in front of hundreds of visitors at the club, based on Dark Lane, to help drum up support.
Speaking after the July 20 event, club secretary Mike Brown said: “It went down really well with the community.
“We had a punk band, a rock band and one that sounded a bit like Fleetwood Mac.”
There was also a BBQ and an outside bar with more than 20 gins, ales and ciders for visitors to enjoy.
Adults were charged £5 for entry, with children attending for free.
Mike added: “Thank you to everyone who supported ClubFest, we are looking to do it again in the near future.”
