AN APPEAL has been launched by The Primrose Hospice to recruit new volunteers to undertake a variety of roles.
It comes two days before the start of National Volunteers Week which runs from Sunday (June 1) to next Saturday (June 7).
The Bromsgrove and Redditch charity relies on volunteers in almost all of its work to fulfil its goal of providing free care to patients with life-limiting conditions and to support their families across the area.
There is already a base of 250 dedicated volunteers and without them, the charity would not be able to provide the levels of support it does.
The Primrose’s new volunteers’ manager Jo Merrett said: “I have been fortunate to meet some of the wonderful volunteers already and cannot believe how passionate and dedicated they all are.
“I am really looking forward to meet all of the others over time as I feel very passionate about making all volunteers feel valued and appreciated for giving up their time to support the hospice.”
Volunteers can do as much or as little as they want.
Anyone wanting to find out more should call Jo Merrett on 01527 875444 for a volunteer information pack.
