POLICE are urging Studley and Alcester residents to help stamp out the alarm being caused by off-road motorcyles, writes Sophie Wheeler.

In the space of two days police in Studley and Alcester received reports of three unregistered off-road motorcyles being driven across roads and footpaths.

The incidents where reported between Thursday, February 14, and Friday, February 15, with police believing the incidents on Crooks Lane, Studley and Gunnings Road/ Conway Estate, Alcester to be linked.

Three off-road motorcycles without registration plates and headlights where also seen on Studley High Street at around 8pm on February 14.

Reports suggested the riders in all three incidents were not wearing helmets but had covered their faces with scarves.

Police say riders who are found to be without insurance or a valid driving licence and riding on public roads risk being prosecuted.

Officers are now asking local residents to help stop the off-road motorbikers by contact them with any information they have about the riders and machines.

If you can help call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
