Alvechurch FC in appeal for public to vote for new sports hub for all

Redditch Editorial 6th Nov, 2018   0

ALVECHURCH Football Club is calling on people to vote in their favour to help fund a new sporting hub.

The Southern Premier Central League club is hoping to be selected for the Aviva Community Fund which is offering up to £25,000 for local community projects.

But for that to happen it needs a high number of votes from locals who want to see the ambitious plans go ahead.

Football bosses are hoping to get upwards of £10,000 to improve grass pitches on the land, create a new floodlit stadia 3G artificial pitch and a new clubhouse with changing rooms at the site near the Redditch Road on the border with Birmingham.

The new hub would service all 42 teams linked Alvechurch FC as well as provide community activities such as walking football, disability provision and targeted health and wellbeing activities.
