All welcome to Redditch's Bomford Hill Peace Memorial for service

Redditch Editorial 1st Oct, 2019   0

THE second annual service at the Bomford Hill Park Peace Memorial takes place this Saturday, October 5.

Located just off Redstone Close in Church Hill, the Peace Memorial was installed and dedicated last year to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

That was on October 6, 2018, the date one of the last soldiers from the Beoley Parish lost his life in World War One and the aim is to keep future services to as near that date as possible.

This year the service at the memorial will be dedicated to the fallen of all wars.

Since it’s installation the Peace Memorial on top of Bomford Hill has been well received and has been used as an area of peaceful reflection by many residents.

All are welcome to attend the service that starts at 10.45am.

Bomford Hill is reached via Paper Mill Drive, Tanhouse Lane and off Redstone Close. People to park considerately and walk where possible.
