MEMBERS of Alcester Male Voice Choir are remaining positive despite not performing since March 14.
The choir has become a way of life for many who say it gives them a sense of happiness and improves their mental wellbeing.
In addition members usually enjoy social interaction and comradeship by meeting regularly with like minded people.
But despite being in lockdown, the choir has continued to plan for both the near and long term future.
Founder Judith Land said: “In 46 years I have never had to cancel rehearsals or concerts so it was a shock when the pandemic struck.
“We recognise that when we are allowed to meet again it will be difficult to meet as a choir due to social distancing procedures but in spite of all this we are remaining positive.
“Members are keeping in touch and many are continuing to learn and rehearse at home.”
The group holds monthly committee meetings on Zoom to organise its plans for the future.
Judith added: “And we are still taking concert bookings and working on special events such as our recruitment evening as well our annual concert in 2021.”
The annual concert is planned for March at Pershore Abbey.
