MEMBERS of the 80 strong, Alcester Male Voice Choir, are lookng forward to a packed programme of performances in the coming year.

Under the guidance of their founder and director of music, Judith Land BEM, FRSA the choir will as usual be performing its programme of local fund raising concerts.

However in addition to that it is also scheduled to appear at Worcester Warriors Rugby Ground in January, the Chateau Impney in April together with the Band of Her Majesties Royal Marines, Stratford ArtsHouse for their annual concert in May and then in October the choir have once again been invited by the London Welsh Male Voice Choir to appear at the Royal Albert Hall as part of a mass choir featuring almost 1,000 voices.

“It’s an honour and a privilege to sing at these magnificent venues and a testament to the high standards we commit to that we get invited,” said Judith.

She added there were several more exciting venues yet to be announced.

“It’s the variety of venues we sing at that make being a member of our choir so interesting and I would say to anyone who is thinking of joining us, now would be a good time.

“We are always on the look out for new members and I am particularly interested in strengthening our tenor sections although of course bass singers are most welcome as well. I can promise new members a warm welcome and some fascinating concert experiences.”

Any men interested in joining the choir can contact Judith on 07886 139781.
