ALCESTER Grammar School is once again celebrating superb A level results, with a record 70 per cent of entries graded A*- B.
This impressive figure is even higher (over 84 per cent) for those students who have been at the school for the whole of their secondary education.
Clive Sentance, Principal, said: “I’d like to congratulate everyone at the school on these results.
“They are a combination of consistently excellent teaching, strong pastoral support and thorough exam preparation together with a wonderful student ethos of hard work and a love of learning.
“Our sixth form leavers have a promising future ahead of them, not just because of their great results, but also because they have developed an abundance of skills, attributes and attitudes as a consequence of their contribution to this outstanding school.
“We wish them every happiness and success in whatever they do in the future.”
● Almost half of the cohort (48 per cent) achieved grades of at least AAB.
● 45 students achieved at least three A grades.
● Virtually all students are set for a destination of their choice.
