GO out for a spin and see some weavers in action as part of the World Wide Spin day.
It’s on Saturday, September 21 and members of the Stratford-upon-Avon Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers will be giving a demonstration at Hillers Farm Shop at Dunnington near Alcester.
It’s a chance to catch up on an ancient art which has clothed and provided comfort for humanity for thousands of years.
Members of the Stratford Guild come from across Warwickshire and beyond and as well as their three core crafts, members possess a variety of allied skills and interests, from knitting and crochet to braid making and growing natural dye plants.
A spokeswoman said: “We love to pass on our knowledge and, as a guild, we try to inspire each other to continually expand our skills and knowledge.”
