AN Alcester care home has partnered with Coventry University to offer placements to first year nursing students.
The first intake of three students started this week on a ten week placement at Cheery Trees Care Home.
The students will work alongside qualified nurse mentors from Cherry Trees to develop their skills, knowledge and experience of nursing within the care sector.
General Manager, Debbie Osborne said: “We are thrilled to be working with Coventry University on this exciting collaboration which will enable student nurses to learn from our very experienced nursing team.
“We hope to take this partnership from strength to strength and it is important to us to highlight the many career opportunities that are open to qualified nurses within the social care sector.”
