TRINTY High School and Sixth Form Centre in Redditch town centre has a new headteacher.
Nigel Ford has taken over from Adrian Ward who has been made chief executive and executive headteacher of Bordesley Multi Academy Trust, of which Trinity is part of.
Mr Ford’s first week saw him take time to introduce himself to all of the students and staff and he has also invited parents to come into school to meet him over the next couple of weeks.
Nigel has 22 years’ experience in education, 11 of which have been as a senior leader.
He comes from Redhill School in Stourbridge and is a teacher of science and PE, the latter being very apt as he has been a keen rugby player and fitness instructor.
“Nigel came to us very highly recommended and I wish him all the best in his new role at Trinity,” said Adrian.
“He has bags of energy and enthusiasm and I know that the school is in good hands.”
Nigel said: “It is very apparent that Trinity High School is a very special learning community where there are exceptional relationships between staff and students and a relentless drive to secure the best possible outcomes for all students.”
Bordesley Multi Academy Trust consists of three Redditch schools – Trinty High School, Birchensale Middle School and Holyoakes Field First School.
