A healthy meal and plenty to do on the menu in Redditch this summer

Redditch Editorial 21st Jul, 2019   0

ACTIVE Kitchen is returning to Redditch with the perfect recipe for young people to be active, have a healthy meal and make friends in the school holidays.

The project has provided more than 1,000 healthy holiday meals to local children since being developed by Redditch Borough Council in 2017 and delivered with community support.

Funded by the Oakland Foundation, all the meals are provided free of charge by Park Farm-based Life Fork and Spoon.

The holiday activity sessions, backed by local volunteers and West Mercia Police, are for nine to 14 year olds and will be delivered at Redditch Cricket, Hockey and Rugby Club in Batchley, What’s Your Point? in Woodrow – call 01527 527848, by the YMCA at Willow Trees Community Centre in Church Hill – call 01527 65668 and at Arrow Vale Youth Centre in Matchborough – call 01527 526800.
