THE National Citizen Service programme for summer 2018 run by YMCA Worcestershire is all set and ready to run and last week they held their first drop-in information evening for young people and parents in Redditch who have signed up.
They were joined by Bill Hartnett, leader of Redditch Borough Council and Councillors Pat Witherspoon and Nina Wood-Ford keen to find out more about the programme.
They were in luck too as a number of summer 2017 YMCA NCS graduates were also there to talk through the programme and relate their own positive experiences.
“The level of enthusiasm from all who went on the course was tremendous, all without exception said they would recommend it as it gave them confidence and they all made new friends,” said Coun Hartnett.
“It also counts towards their UCAS application for university – I truly think this is a great scheme.”
