A chance to show everyone in Redditch what you can do

Redditch Editorial 18th Jan, 2018   0

TALENT scouts at the Redditch Palace Theatre are on the lookout for local superstars to compete in the fourth annual Redditch Has Talent Show.

There is no restriction on the talent and the judges are looking for everyone from singers to magicians, acrobats to comedians and jugglers to ventriloquists – if you have a talent the panel wants to see it.

Judges are looking for acts, featuring people aged 10 and over, who live within a ten-mile radius of Redditch to appear in the final of the competition which will be held in June.

Auditions will be at the Palace on March 8, 10, 15 and 24 but applications must be with the theatre by February 28.

Each act will have a maximum of five minutes to perform and the initial selection needs to only showcase ‘raw’ talent – no specialist equipment is required. All those chosen to go through after the audition stage will appear in the final.

Judge and organiser, Dave Wilkins, said: “This is our fourth year of Redditch Has Talent and we’re really excited to see what the people of the town have got to show us this time around. Auditionees don’t need any specialist equipment – we just need to see the ‘raw’ talent.

“It really is a great opportunity to show and share your talent and of course have fun.”

Visit the Palace Theatre website for an application form or pick one up from the box office.
