THE Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch has launched a brand new ‘For the Love of Books’ campaign for one lucky local school to win £500 in book vouchers from Waterstones this month.
The public is now being asked to vote for the school they want to win via the Kingfisher website before the closing date on Tuesday, March 8.
This latest initiative shows the continued support for the community of the shopping destination and will be gifting the winning school the voucher with the aim of encouraging more young people to take up reading.
Local residents are able to select the school they would like to vote for via the Kingfisher website, and one vote per person is allowed.
“We are delighted to be able to contribute towards local education, and it is an honour to play a part in supporting young learners’ reading journeys through our book voucher donation,” said Ken Williams, general manager at Kingfisher.
“It has always been our priority at Kingfisher to support the Redditch community as much as we can, and this opportunity does just that.
“Our community is strongly on board with the initiative, and we are deeply touched to see the votes coming in fast already – we look forward to announcing the winner next week.”
