REDDITCH is to get a share of £2.6million in Government funding handed to Worcestershire County Council to boost numeracy skills to improve their employment prospects.
The county has been awarded £2,692,723 from the UK-wide Multiply programme aimed at helping people with no or low-level maths skills to get back into work.
The scheme will offer free tutoring, digital training and flexible courses, as well as measures to get more young people into high-skilled jobs.
Redditch MP Rachel Maclean said: “Redditch is full of people with potential, determination and ambition, and we’re going to unlock their full potential by ensuring they have the skills they need to boost their employment prospects and get people into high-skilled jobs.”
