Surf's up at the Cross Keys as the Tuery Sessions return to Alcester

Redditch Editorial 14th Aug, 2019   0

THIS coming Sunday, August 18 two brilliant singer songwriters will be bringing out the sunshine at The Cross Keys pub in Alcester for Jack Blackman’s Tuery Sessions music night.

Sean Macreavy spent the 1990s fronting Manchester power-pop heroes The Landys before embarking on a solo career.

This led him to record and release two well received albums of Beach Boys inspired music for M & M records in Japan.

His highly acclaimed album ‘Through My Telescope’ was released in 2001.

A wonderful sun-drenched pop album, it showcases Sean’s powerful vocals, exceptional musicianship and his great love of the music of Brian Wilson and the West Coast sound.

Sean currently fronts Surf’s Up, the UK’s premier Beach Boys tribute band and has also released two singles with B-side, ‘The Sun Brings Out the Girls’ and ‘Sky Crying Rain.’

The second featured act is Drew Hall, a Bristol-based, professional acoustic musician and singer/songwriter.

Drew released his first album in June this year entitled, ‘The Good Knight Hall Experience’.

A fusion of reggae, blues and soul, accomplished vocals and catchy guitar, it’s received widespread acclaim.

Drew has a strong presence on the UK touring scene, don’t miss him at the Cross Keys, Alcester.

6pm doors, free entry and don’t miss the raffle.
