LAUGHTER is coming to Redditch when the comedian Simon Brodkin takes to the Palace Theatre stage on Wednesday, February 26.

For Simon, perhaps best known as the character of ‘Lee Nelson’ it’s his first ever tour as, well, himself.

Simon’s funniest moments have included handing the then Prime Minister Theresa May, a P45 while she was addressing the Conservative Party Conference, and auditioning for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ as the ‘Rapping Rabbi’.

“It felt that now it’s right that I want to say what I really think,” he said.

The result will see him take audiences on a journey through his childhood, growing up on the ‘mean streets’ of Hampstead to his adulthood as a doctor and parent.

“There’s always more to be done and there’s always fun to be had doing that, but this new show is taking up the time at the moment,” he said.

The London-born comedian has also received a nomination for the ‘Nymph Awards 2018’ and has produced TV shows for BBC as well as ITV in his character of ‘Lee Nelson.’

Tickets for his night at the Palace, which starts at 8pm, cost £21 and are available from the box office in person or on 01527 65203 or buy online at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk.
