Cross Keys has got the Blues - and Americana too in latest Tuery Session

Redditch Editorial 13th Jun, 2018   0

THE Tuery Sessions return to the Cross Keys in Alcester this Sunday, June 17 with a varied bill of talented musicians for the ears.

The King Biscuit Boys are an acoustic blues duo for fans of Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee.

In the last six years they have been gigging and touring all over the England and Wales.

The boys deliver an energetic Blues-infused live performance with authentic Delta Blues guitar from Jonathan Townsend and virtuoso harmonica playing from Craig Stocker who also brings, washboard, cajon, melodica and more to the party.

They perform a wide range of material from Delta Blues classics to modern original Blues songs.

Joining them on the bill will be the talented Holly Perkins.

With heartfelt lyrics and soulful vocals, Holly plays an original blend of Folk, Roots, and Americana.

Intricate folk style finger picking, reflective of the Ralph Mctell influence and vocals walking a line somewhere between KT Tunstall, Sarah Mclachlan and Canadian singer-songwriter Brandy Zdan make for a captivating combination.

The show starts at 6pm, entry is free plus the raffle will be running.
