Chris tips his hat to the music of John Denver as he plays Redditch gig

TRIBUTE performer Chris Bannister will be gracing the Reditch Palace Theatre stage to celebrate the life and music of singer-songwriter John Denver.

Chris has been touring with his solo show since 2010 and covers much-loved classics like Annie’s Song, Rhymes & Reasons and Take me Home, Country Roads.

He also likes to add a few lesser known covers that John Denver liked to perform live including Mr Bojangles, Love Of The Common People.

John Denver passed away when an experimental plane he was flying crashed into the Pacific Ocean in 1997.

Chris was asked to perform in Colorado in October 2012 for an annual celebration of John Denver, and performed several concerts with Denver’s lead guitar player Steve Weisberg.

The guitarist commented on Chris’s performances: “…all the magic is there.”

The show is coming to Redditch on September 5 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available now in person, online, or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced at £18.50 and £17.00.
