AN EVENING of glorious music in the company of outstanding local choir Tarantara is promised next week – and it’s all for a good cause.
The ensemble will be performing at St Nicholas Church in Alcester on Saturday, October 7 in aid of the charity Open Doors, which cares for refugees fleeing conflict in the Middle East.
Organised by Frank Wood of the campaign group Alcester Refugees, tickets are just £12 including refreshments.
“Tarantara are one of the best choirs around, they’re so good you have to have an audition to join! Singing all styles of songs they’ve already built up a formidable following and it promises to be a great evening,” said Frank.
The event will also feature a talk from a representative of Open Doors explaining the work they do, and Frank hoping to show a film on the situation in the Middle East as the war against IS and the Syrian civil war grind on.
For tickets call Frank on 01789 400300 or simply turn up on the night.
