THE PALACE theatre Redditch will be hosting the renowned ELO Experience on April 26 as part of a celebratory tribute to Birmingham based band the Electric Light Orchestra.

The event will also celebrate the music of Jeff Lynne by showcasing the greatest hits he orchestrated during the 70s and 80s.

ELO achieved more UK and US top 40 combined hits than any other band between 1972 and 1986, with songs such as ‘Evil Woman’ and ‘Living Thing’ hitting the charts.

The band was formed in the late 60s by guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Roy Wood who wanted to ‘pick up where The Beatles left off’.

Blending rock rhythms with classical influences, ELO duly became the authors of many classic albums such as ‘A New World Record’ and ‘Out of the Blue’.

The ELO Experience are regarded as the world’s foremost tribute to The Electric Light Orchestra.

With a sensational string section, a stunning light show and large screen projection to further enhance the experience, it promises to be an incredible show which will accurately reproduce the songs and sounds and take fans on a magical musical journey through time.

The show starts at 7.30pm, with tickets available to buy now in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced at £24.50.
