
A REDDITCH woman who died in a car crash near Hagley last Thursday (May 1) has been named as Heather Linley.
The 48-year-old was a senior member of staff at Stourbridge College, and principal Lynette Cutting said she would be deeply missed.
"It was with deep sadness that we heard the tragic news of the death of our colleague Heather Linley," she said.
"Those who knew and worked with Heather could not fail to be impressed with the level of professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm she brought to any task she undertook.
"With her knowledge and expertise she constantly strived to ensure that we maintained the very best provision for our students."
Ms Cutting added Heather was a lively and animated speaker who inspired the very best in others with her humour and vision.
She added: "Heather will be deeply missed and on behalf of the college governors and members of staff I would like to offer our deepest condolences to her family."
Heather was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident along the A491 at around 7.25pm.
Her blue Volkswagen Golf was heading towards Bromsgrove when she lost control causing her car to cross over the central reservation and into the path of an oncoming white Ford Mondeo.
The driver of the Mondeo, a 44-year-old Stourbridge woman, was unhurt.
An investigation into the cause of the accident will be carried out, but witnesses, or anyone with information, should call PC Sian Davies in the North Worcestershire Road Policing Unit on 08457 444888.
