  • Making Redditch sound like Heaven

    09 May 2008

REDDITCH is set to be the safest town in England by 2026, according to the council's latest development strategy (see story on page 1).
Promises have already been made for the town to be "distinctively green, highly accessible, culturally and ecologically rich, and the safest town in England" within just 20 years.
Sounds like heaven doesn't it, except for that fact that all this depends on council policy driving forward-thinking and proactive initiatives to help make these things happen.
And when one considers the amount of time the council has been talking about redeveloping the Abbey Stadium for instance, we won't hold our breath. Just hope for the best!
