  • Stick it out in Redditch Mark

    09 May 2008

THE LATE Sir John Betjeman once famously vented his spleen on a town he disliked with the line: "Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough."
We must all be grateful that Mark Hill in his letter (April 25) did not actually go as far as Betjeman in his comments, probably because the MP for Redditch is the Home Secretary and deportation to Bromsgrove loomed.
I note from his letter that Mark Hill has lived in Redditch for just five years, which makes me having been a resident here for almost 17 times as long as he.
Stick it out Mark - for every chip on our shoulders you appear to have a sack of potatoes on yours.
    Philip Hadley
    Greenlands
