A NEW nursery has been given the seal of approval by Redditch's MP.

Karen Lumley visited Astwood Smiles Nursery in Astwood Bank for a tour around the site which includes a library and IT equipment such as iPads and fingerprint technology for visitor entry.

Co-owner Olivia Waters said: "Karen Lumley champions new business in the Redditch area and we're extremely proud of the nursery that we've created in Astwood Bank and wanted her to see for herself the opportunities that we're providing for the children that come her, their parents and our staff."

Mrs Lumley added: "Astwood Smiles Nursery is a vibrant new business in the heart of the local community, creating an inspiring environment for children to begin their early years’ education, as well as boosting employment in the area.

"It’s great to see what has been created by Olivia and her team, especially the extensive library, and I look forward to seeing the development of Astwood Smiles for years to come."
