MORE than £200 was raised for Marie Curie in a vintage inspired afternoon tea event.

Residents from Callow Hill enjoyed tea and cakes and a selection of retro clothing at the village hall last Saturday (August 9).

A total of £205 was raised for the cancer charity which provides nurses to care for terminally ill people in their own home.

Organisers Denise and Alan Johnson said: “Our thanks to all, especially our family and friends who helped and supported this worthy cause.”
