Family of missing Hollywood woman make emotional appeal for help

THE FAMILY of Hollywood woman Eve Cullen, who has now been missing for more than ten days, have made an emotional appeal for anyone with any information on her whereabouts to come forward.

Her husband Peter Cullen, 50, and their three children - a 20-year-old daughter and 15-year-old twins – have issued a statement through West Mercia Police.

In it they said: “If anyone has any information we would urge them to please let the police know.

"Even if it doesn’t seem significant, it might be and the police will be able to check it out.

“We just want information. We are looking for peace of mind. Things start going through your mind. It’s just terrible."

The family said a lot of people in Hollywood knew Eve.

“Even if they don’t know her name, they certainly know her face. She is normally with a couple of greyhounds,” they added.

The 52-year-old, who has not been seen since leaving her home at 2.30pm last Thursday (July 17), has brown collar-length hair and glasses and, when she was last seen, she was wearing a mustard t-shirt, green three-quarter-length trousers and white trainers.

She is known to have links to Birmingham and, as well as walking the family's greyhounds in Hollywood, she also exercised them in Bournville. The dogs are brindle, black and white and black in colour.

There has been an unconfirmed sighting - on the Kings Norton Buisness Park - and officers from West Mercia Police are making enquiries into that.

Through their statement, Eve's family also addressed her directly: “Please get in touch with us.

"We are all here waiting and we just want to hear from you and know that you are safe and well,” they added.

Supt Kevin Purcell added: “There is no evidence to suggest that Eve has come to any harm, but we would like to see her to ensure she is safe and well, she can do this by walking into any police station in the country or by phoning the non-emergency police number 101.”

Supt Purcell also urged anyone who has seen a woman matching her description to contact police on 101.
