A TALENTED musician is returning home to perform at Redditch Symphony Orchestra’s summer concert.

Rebecca Eldridge will appear during the event tomorrow (Saturday) at St Stephen’s Church in Redditch Town Centre at 7.30pm.

Rebecca began learning bassoon at the age of 12 and in 2007 made her debut with the Warwickshire County Youth Orchestra as soloist in Elgar’s Romance. In 2008 she won a scholarship to study at the

Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) and is currently completing postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

She won the Howarth Double Reed prize, the RWCMD concerto prize, the June Emerson Wind Ensemble Launchpad prize with the Hafren Wind Quintet and was the Abergavenny Eisteddfod and Chandos

Symphony Orchestra’s Young Musician.

Alexander Webb, a recent graduate with the Birmingham Conservatoire, is guest conductor for the night.
