PADDINGTON bear swapped Peru for Brazil with a World Cup themed birthday party.

Children at Matchborough First School celebrated the famous bear's Summer birthday by linking it with current World Cup hosts Brazil.

Each pupil wore bright carnival colours to represent its capital Rio and also brought in a small bear dressed in the same way.

They raised a total of £240 for Paddington's favourite charity Touching Tiny Lives which helps sick and vulnerable babies.
