VISITORS to an Alcester nursing home got the chance to tour the globe without leaving the country.

Staff from Cherry Trees Care Home opened their doors to residents and visitors as part of its national open day last Friday (June 20).

This year's theme followed in the footsteps of explorer Phileas Fogg, with a chance to go around the world in eight hours with different rooms representing individual countries.

Visitors also had the chance to tuck into tea, cake, and a barbecue, while entertainment was also on offer.
