Growing up is fun for nursery gardeners

CHILDREN at a Matchborough nursery have been growing in more ways than one.

Youngsters at Noah’s Ark Nursery have been taking part in their annual gardening club.

Working with parent or carer, children created hanging baskets and miniature gardens to take home and display in their own green space.

The aim of the club is to demonstrate to children how fun and easy it can be to get growing and take up gardening at home.

Staff member Joan Fuller, who organised the club, said: “Children have learned a lot through this great hands-on experience. It’s been such a pleasure to work with the children and parents. It’s been really encouraging to hear feedback on past projects and see their enthusiasm for gardening grow.”
