RESIDENTS can roll out their picnic blankets tomorrow (Saturday) to celebrate National Children’s Day.

A teddy bears’ picnic is taking place as part of the latest bandstand event on Church Green. There will also be live music, dances from around the world and St Stephen’s Church fête. Children’s activities, a bouncy castle and face painting will also be on offer.

National Children’s Day UK is devoted to promoting the right of every child to enjoy more time outside.

The event starts with a brass band from midday and runs until 4pm.
