THERE will be a mix of golden oldies, songs from musicals and other favourites when the Primrose Choir takes to the stage for its Summertime Concert.

Some wartime favourites for the audience to sing along to will also be included in the event, at 7pm next Friday (June 20) at Redditch Town Hall to mark the centenary of the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.

The choir will once again be joined by Studley St Mary’s RC School Choir which will be performing a variety of songs, including its own rendition of the Mary Poppins classic Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

All profits go to The Primrose Hospice Centre of Care charity which helps people in Redditch and Bromsgrove who are facing life-limiting illness.

Tickets cost £8 and are available by calling 01527 67383 or 01527 546158.

There will also be a limited number of tickets on the door.
