PUPILS at a Batchley school took a trip into the world of the Time Lord and the Tardis as they got a visit from a life-size Dalek.

A replica of the famous creation was taken to Pitcheroak School after nine-year-old Kurt Woodage won a competition run by the Doctor Who Adventures magazine.

Students also got to meet Dalek creators who worked on the BBC show and received goody bags as part of Kurt’s prize.

Headteacher Sheila Holden said: “They had a great time and were absolutely delighted to have the prizes and the goody bags that the people brought along with them.

“It went down really well and Kurt was thrilled.”
