A MINIBUS driver was trapped in his vehicle following a crash in Alcester.

The incident happened shortly after 1.55pm on Wednesday (April 30) on the A46 in Redhill.

Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended as well as the police and fire service.

The driver was freed from the minibus, treated for a knee injury and taken to Warwick Hospital.

A man believed to be in his 60s, the driver of one of the cars involved, was treated at the scene for an arm injury while his passenger, a woman of a similar age, had a suspected fractured sternum. Both were taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

The third vehicle had left the carriageway and had its rear end in a ditch. The driver of the car, a woman thought to be in her 30s, was treated for seatbelt injuries and a suspected fractured ankle before being taken to the Alexandra Hospital.
