MOTHERS and daughters have the chance to win a VIP photo shoot as part of a bid to tackle teenage obesity.

Gymophobics has teamed up with photographer Sharon Trueman to offer a special membership package.

Anyone who joins before May 18 will be entered into monthly prize draws and at the end of three months, all those taking part will be fully assessed with the pair who have achieved the most winning a shoot at Sharon's studio in Astwood Bank including red carpet treatment and a one-hour professional session.

Gymophobics owner Zoe Cooke said: "The rise in teenage obesity is often the result of less healthy diets and a lack of exercise. We support all our members with healthy eating guidance as well as exercise plans based on our 30 minute circuit plus plenty of positive encouragement."

She added around one in five 11 to 15 year olds were significantly overweight, with girls particularly at risk as they moved through their teenage years.
