A COUPLE who may have spoken to the victim of a serious sexual assault are being urged to come forward.

The incident happened at Arrow Valley Park between 7pm and 8pm yesterday (Saturday), following which the 30-year-old victim was walking along Old Forge Drive at 11pm when she saw a man and woman walking their dog.

Detectives investigating the incident have called on the couple to contact them, adding they were not in any trouble but their help could aid their enquiries.

Det Insp Stuart Murphy said: "A thorough investigation is underway and we are doing all we can to support the victim and find the man responsible so that he can be brought to justice."

Police also want to speak to a man seen in the park around the time of the incident. He was sat on a bench talking on a mobile phone, wearing a baseball cap and smoking. He was white, in his 30s and was believed to have a Slovakian accent.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 702-s-190414, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
