THE SACRIFICES made by the people of Studley during The Great War are set to be the focus of a new exhibition.

Studley Local History Group is holding its annual open day tomorrow (April 26) in the parish centre on the Alcester Road opposite Tesco Express between midday and 4pm.

As well as a display focusing on the village's casualties and survivors from the First World War there will also be documents, postcards, publications and other items from the past.

Residents are urged to bring along any items they may have relating to the First World War and Studley to be copied and added to the archive as well as any other old photographs of the village.

Copies of photographs on display can be bought on the day while there will also be a small exhibition of Studley paintings by artist Roger Thomas, who used to live in the village.
