A MAN has been charged with several counts of making and distributing indecent images of children in Redditch.

Dominic William Alexander Carpenter, of Pinfield Drive in Barnt Green, entered no plea when he appeared at Redditch Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (April 15).

The 20-year-old is charged with five counts of distributing and 23 counts of making indecent photographs of children in Redditch between December 18, 2011 and February 6 last year.

The charges relate to a number of images and videos which vary on a scale of severity from levels one to five, with one being the lowest.

Carpenter was released on conditional bail to appear at Worcester Crown Court on August 11. He was ordered not to contact anyone under the age of 16 unless supervised by someone who had been authorised by children’s services.
