DELIGHTED staff and students are celebrating after being named an outstanding school by Ofsted inspectors.

Inkberrow First School has been rated as outstanding - the best of the four categories - across the board with the rapid progress of pupils, behaviour and inspirational leadership particularly highlighted.

The report states new staff received training of the highest quality and the school was an ‘exceptionally safe place to learn’.

Headteacher Heather Thomson said: “We are all thrilled with the outcome and I am very proud of everyone for their contribution toward this judgement.”

Governors said congratulations for the ‘brilliant achievement’ must be shared by all those involved in the school including teachers, support staff, parents, carers and volunteers.
