A CHURCH Hill fund-raiser is hoping others will join her to raise money for abandoned and poorly pets.

RSPCA community fund-raiser Helen Tuite is aiming to raise £2,014 by taking part in 14 events during the year including four half-marathons and two triathlons.

The Church Hill resident, who works at the charity’s Birmingham branch, will end her busy year with the Great Birmingham Run in October - which she is hoping to attract 50 people to join her for.

She said: “Working here at the centre, I can see first hand how hard everyone works and I can guarantee that every penny we receive goes towards the welfare of all the abandoned and ill-treated animals that come through our doors.”

Visit http://choices.rspca.org.uk/appeal/helens-2014-challenge to sponsor Helen. Corporate sponsorship of £100 or more will see names put on the page and the Facebook page. Anyone who would like to take part in the Great Birmingham Run or any other event can e-mail bhamfundraising@rspca.org.uk or call 07715 540518.
