Plenty to do over Easter

FAMILIES are invited to do something egg-stra special this Easter at an Ipsley church.

St Peter’s Church on Ipsley Church Lane will be offering a variety of services and meditations over the festive holiday.

On Monday and Tuesday (April 21 and 22) the church will be open to visitors from 10am until 4pm where people can explore the historic building, while the churchyard will be transformed into an Easter treasure trail for children.

Tea and cakes will also be on offer.

On Good Friday (April 18) a family service will be held at 10.30am and between 12pm and 3pm will be time for meditation around the cross in the church.

Morrisons shoppers will also be treated to hot cross buns on Saturday (April 19), while on Easter Sunday (April 20) a candle lit vigil will be held at the church.

On Easter Monday (April 21) service times are 10.30 am and 6.30pm.
