THE PRIMROSE Hospice is £750 better off, thanks to a link-up between a Redditch pub and a Studley brewery.

The Washford Mill collected the cash by donating 10p to the charity every time a pint of Weatheroak ale was bought.

The beer was brewed by Studley’s Victoria Works brewery and the scheme is ongoing.

Jeff Goulden, the Washford Mill’s general manager, said: “It’s a great scheme and more pubs should do things like this for local charities.

Wendy Stokes, the Primrose’s fund-raising officer, added: “We’d like to say a big thank you to the pub, the brewery, and of course, all the people have bought pints and contributed to the cause.”
