A TOWN centre gym is showing its support to the borough’s football club by offering free membership.

Staff from Choices Health Club on Alcester Street are allowing all first team players for Redditch United to use the gym to train as part of scheme to benefit the community.

The gym became an official sponsor of Redditch United’s disability team and allowed them to use the equipment for free to promote self confidence and a healthier lifestyle.

Darren Veness, youth and community outreach co-ordinator, said: “At the moment, with the uncertainty of our grounds, being able to uses these community facilities such as AstroTurf pitches and gyms are really important to the club and team. It will be a great benefit to the players.”
